scientific symposium
Join Us at the Nordic Society of Human Genetics and Precision Medicine Conference 2025!
How is the AI revolution in biomedicine and healthcare reshaping a field that remains fundamentally cautious — for many good reasons? Explore this critical intersection at the Nordic Society of Human Genetics and Precision Medicine’s upcoming Scientific Symposium and workshops.
Free Symposium | 2 June 2025 | Mærsk Tower, University of Copenhagen
Discover the latest advancements and future directions of AI-driven healthcare and biomedical research. Engage with leading Nordic researchers as they share insights into how emerging technologies are transforming precision medicine. To attend the Scientific Symposium on 2 June 2025, please read more on how to register here.
We will also have a free lunchtime lecture on 3 June 2025 on the COVID pandemic and mental health. Unnur Valdimarsdottir of the University of Iceland and Karolinska Institutet will present the work of a large-scale international consortium looking at multimodal data and follow-ups from more than 550,000 people in Nordic and other European countries. Meet the Symposium Speakers and Moderators

Artificial intelligence and machine learning are advancing rapidly – particularly in the fields of biomedical research and healthcare. While these technologies hold great promise, their integration into a traditionally cautious and evidence-driven health sector raises important questions.
This half-day symposium will bring together leading researchers from across the Nordic region to discuss the current state and future directions of AI in biomedicine and healthcare. The program will include keynote talks, short research presentations, and a poster session showcasing ongoing work in the field.
Join the Scientific Symposium and get the opportunity to network with peers, engage in informal discussions, and explore the latest research developments in AI for biomedicine and healthcare.
Admission is free and open to all. We welcome researchers, clinicians, students, and anyone with an interest in the evolving role of AI in healthcare and biomedicine.
